Hilton Cabo Verde Sal Resort, Santa Maria

The hotel offered a large and comfortable room, although my view was limited to the pool unless I leaned over the railing. The service was exceptional, especially towards families, and I loved the free kayak and SUP rentals. However, the location was a bit isolated, and getting around without transportation could be challenging. Dining was impressive, especially the buffet, making it a great value overall.

Our stay had its ups and downs. The hotel overall was quite welcoming, especially with the thoughtful surprise of sparkling wine and chocolates waiting for us—huge thanks to Tatiana for that! However, we did face some disorganization, especially with our room not being ready at the expected time. Thankfully, we found the pool area to be lovely and perfect for unwinding, despite the earlier hiccup.

The hotel had some great aspects, like a spacious room with a lovely pool view. While the service was outstanding, there were some hiccups with the room assignment that made my stay less than perfect. I also enjoyed the amazing atmosphere around the pool and the beach restaurant, which became my favorite spot for meals. However, the value for money felt a bit off due to the issues with my room not being what I expected at first.

The location was peaceful yet still close enough to the action in Santa Maria, making it a great choice. On a downside, the dining experience could use some improvement in terms of variety and ingredient quality. Overall, it was a good value for money, except for the Wi-Fi which came with an additional cost.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel which was spacious and well-decorated. The bathroom was fantastic, and I appreciated the partial ocean view from my small balcony, even if it was somewhat blocked by trees. The service was attentive, although there was a slight lack of personality from the staff. The dining experience could use more variety, but overall, it was satisfying. A little more shade at the beach would’ve been nice too.
